Diabetes:- consume foods that have a low glycaemic index. This will lower the pressure on insulin and the insulin will perform better. Food choices include opting for wheat bran, whole grain wheat and brown rice instead of white rice; boiled corn instead of corn flakes; brown rice poha, Chanda chat, lobia chat, etc. Then there are typical herbs and foods that make you lose weight. Guargum is a kind of herb that slows down the absorption of sugar into blood stream and reduces the conversion of sugar into fat. Bitter herbs like crushed Karela seeds, jamun seeds etc. Neem and green leafy veggies are recommended too. Minimum 8 to 10 glasses of water should be taken every day. Regular walks are important for diabetics because it helps to manage stress better. As such ground nut oil has to do nothing with diabetes but yes it can be preferred over desi ghee and butter.
