Hello, I have Hypothyroid Problem T3, T4 normal Tsh 8.5 My doctor prescribed me Tab: Thyroxine 25 mg. But now I am gaining weight. I am on diet and I am doing exercise, daily me taking tab. But I am gaining weight within 1 month why what is the reason please can you tell me.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Since you are already on treatment with Thyroxine, please check the TSh now (after 6 weeks of treatment). It needs to be around 3 to 4 mU/L then only all the symptoms are in check. Weight gain is often seen if hypothyroidism is not in control. Thanks.
