I am 62 years of age with type 2 diabetes for the last 22 years. Now I find that my hb1ac is more or less under good control around 6. This time it was 5.8 only. Should I stop medication. Presently I take glycomet sr 500 twice a day before meals.

Hello, Thanks for the query. With HbA1c% around 6 %, your glucose control is really good. Taking Metformin does help in achieving that consistently. Stopping the drug may not be good. Thanks.
