Thanks for the query. I am sure you are aware that diabetes occurs due to deficiency of insulin, plus development of insulin resistance, improper food habits and inactivity. Since insulin is required for metabolism of carbs, fats and proteins, it has to be made available daily either through our gland or through injections. So treatment has to go on for life time. Thanks.
