I want to know if medicines like escitalopram oxalate can be taken empty stomach?

Dear Lybrate user, it is preferred to take escitalopram after a meal as the medicine is better tolerated by your body and the risk of most common side effects like stomach upset, nausea and vomiting is reduced. Taking medicine empty stomach hampers it's absorption from intestines. So, if you can't have a wholesome meal before your scheduled time of taking medicines, try eating small amount of food prior to taking your medicine. Hope this helps. Good day.
