Our doctor has advised us to take actrapid insulin three times a day and to take glargine insulin at night after having dinner, at 10 pm. So today after dinner I checked my mom's blood sugar and it shows 150 mg/dl. Should I give her glargine now or should I skip it.(i had given her actrapid insulin 8 units before having dinner) actrapid 3 times 10 units before breakfast, before lunch and 8 units before dinner and 10 units of glargine after having dinner. Fasting glucose levels are 150 120 sometimes 180 and random goes up to 280 250 220. My mom is a also a chronic pancreatitis patient and a acute pyelonephritis patient.
