Hello, To be free from all the symptoms of hypothyroidism it is essential to maintain tsh with in the normal range, that is 0.5 to 4.5 mu/l. Usually between 3 to 4 mu/l is considered as a good range. Since your tsh is now 5.9 mu/l, it is necessary to increase the dose by 12.5 mcg to 137.5 mcg. 12.5 mcg tablets are available, that can be added to the present dosage. Then check tsh after 6 weeks, to see if desired level is reached. Thanks.
