I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism a 4 years ago which after 2 years transformed into hypo. I am on thyronorm 62.5 mg which I take first thing in the morning. I have recently started having morning leaf powder 1 tea spoon but only after 1 hr of taking thyronorm. I have come across information that the morning aids thyroid function too. Is it ok for me to take it?

Hello, thanks for the query. Madam most important treatment for hypothyroidism is taking adequate dosage of levothyroxine, as your gland is not producing the necessary quantity of that hormone. On taking adequate dosage of thyroxine, tsh is maintained around 3 to 4 mu/l, at which level all the symptoms are in check. Whether taking some other supplements is helpful or not is a question mark. If you are finding it beneficial please do take. But please do not stop or reduce thyroxine dosage on your own. Keep checkin tsh levels periodically. Thanks.
