Hi Doctor, I'm 31 years old female, I have a 5 years old daughter now, my first pregnancy was natural and delivered without any complications, my periods is regular, my thyroid and sugar levels are within normal limits, last year I was preg and I terminated it because of foetal anomaly (unilateral PKD), after that my torch test CMV IgM came positive, now last 3 months back I got pregnant and after detecting heartbeat. I lost my pregnancy 1 week later, now CMV IgM was positive, my partners and my chromosomal analysis was also normal, now my gynecology advice for apla test, I'm scared about that. Is apla serious.

Apla is nothing serious as per if the test is positive, it can be managed by giving low dose ecosprin and low molecular weight heparin through out pregnancy with good clinical outcome. Also in your case cmv test was not required. This test is often misleading and does not appear to be related to either polycystic kidney disease or with the abortion. You can connect online for more details.
