I'm 19y/o, 5'3'80 kg girl. I have thyroid and currently on thyronorm 50 mg. I'm on my periods, started on 18-3-19 and still going on with medium flow. I have suffered from heavy nonstop bleeding in the past also. What should I do to stop the bleeding?

Hello, Thanks for the query. It is necessary to control hypothyroidism very well, for that TSH should be maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L. So please check that. It should be done after 6 to 8 weeks of starting the treatment with levothyroxine. For immediate problem of heavy flow, please do consult a local gynecologist urgently. In future once TSH is well controlled, periods are more likely to be normal. Thanks.
