I was having hypothyroidism now the value has come normal after taking eltroxin 100 mg, now my value is 4mu/l, should I reduce the dose.

Mr Shivaji, Thanks for the query. The very reason why TSH has come down is because of taking adequate quantity of Levothyroxine. If you discontinue the same, because deficiency being created, (of Thyroxine) TSH will go up, with all the symptoms of hypothyroidism reappearing. Please understand this a hormone (thyroxine) deficiency disorder, since that hormone is essential for say to day metabolic functions it has to be supplemented on daily basis for life time. Thanks.

Recent tsh. T4 level. Get antitpo antibodies to be done. Hb1ac to be done. Dietitian advice is exercise is must. After eltroxin any reduction in weight.
