Hai doctor. My husband hba1c result is 11.3. His doctor suggest to take human mixtard 15 unit bd. Is insugen r and human mixtard is same.

Hi lybrate-user! human mixtard and insugen r are not the same. Human mixtard contains short and long acting insulin preparations while insugen r contains only the short acting insulin. Wish your husband a speedy recovery!

Hello, Thanks for the query. Insugen R is a regular insulin, where as Mixtard is a combination of fast acting and long acting insulins. Thanks.
