My son is of age 25 years and suffering sudden severe anxiety problem since last one year, it happens suddenly during his regular routine work. During that time he runs fast here & there with full of sweat and harm himself to bite his finger and hand, after sometime about 3-5 minutes he become normal. After that he told that he was in anger with no reason. Ct scan, mri & eeg almost normal. I shown to neuro he said that there are some green spot in report which is some abnormal and suggested olanzapine-400, venlanz-25, valtec cr-300, piramax-800 (piracetam tab.) since one year, but even taking regular medicines, he is not being cured completely. I would like to know whether my treatment is in right direction?

The medications given are psychiatric medications apart from piracetam and valtec. Olanzapine and venlaz are powerful antipsychotic and antidepressant. Biting fingers is a self injurious behaviour which needs psychiatrist opinion and treatment, kindly consult one. All the best.
