My son has a hormone deficiency problem. His birth date is 04.12.2015 and his birth weight was 1.3 kgs. During pregnancy, my wife was taking kepra 500 tablets (twice a day) for epilepsy. Right now, my son's weight is 5.8 kgs. And height is 72.5 cms. Considering his age (3 years) his growth is very slow. We have consulted endocrinologist here in Germany (Munich city) and he has suggested us to give my son hormones injection on a daily basis. He told us that we may have to give the injection to my son for about 1 or 2 years or if required may be for more years. I want your opinion about my son's health and his growth. Also, I want to know the treatment procedure in India in similar cases and the cost of it.

Unless the boy is examined and his reports of tests done so far have not been studied, it is not possible to give any opinion. However based n his birth history he had suffered brain damage and failure to grow (failure to thrive -ftt) and the treatment by an endocrinologist is needed and is going in the correct manner.
