Hi, I stopped the use of melacare cream. I notice some red patches in my skin and my skin become more sensitive. How to recover from melacare cream side effects?

Hi Lybrate-User, Melacare cream has steroid and hydroquinone which cause multiple side effects on skin on prolonged use. Recovery will take few weeks, for that foremost thing is use a good broad spectrum sunscreen according to your skin and use it 15 to 20 mins before sun exposure and repeat its application every 3 hours if you are out. Use a mild cleanser like cetaphil for face wash avoid fragrance or acids containing face wash. At night time use a good oil free moisturiser and use in morning also if your skin feels dry.
