Hi, My age is 32, weight 57kg, with pcod thyroid, my fasting sugar is 97to 110, ppbs is up to 140, random is 130. I am in metformin 500 only night time, why my fasting sugar is high ,i am not consuming sugars carbohydrates, walking daily 40 mins, how to decrease my fasting sugars please help me.

Fasting sugar below 120 is normal. It is not high. You can go up on metformin dose to twice a day if any of your sugar reading is more then 140 or you can get an hba1c report which can guide you with your last 3 months average blood sugar level.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Please clarify whether the person asking question or having specific problems is a male or female. Because question states Male, 32 years. Male does not get PCOD. High fasting glucose is dependent on food intake at night time. Foods like chapati, roti, rice, potato, sweet potato and many other grains all contain carbohydrate. So if night time food intake is high, then fasting glucose is bound to be more. Thanks.
