Anxiety can cause increase in BP, for which anxiolytics are needed mainly rather than BP tablets. Since after stopping BP tablets you have anxiety, better get evaluated for anxiety disorder, first. All the best,

You may not require medication if your bp is under control ie. Below 140/90 mm hg. Usually. You may try relaxation techniques. If you fail to control anxiety you can take anxiolytics if necessary if need only.

If your bp is not under control when you are not taking telmisartan, you should definitely consider re-starting a medicine to reduce your bp.
