Type: gynaecologist I had a prolactin level 33. I took a 3 week medication of cabergoline 0.5 (twice a week), after which my prolactin level came out to be 0.3 but thyroid (tsh) came 4.6 is it normal? It's because of the medications or anything else?

Hello, Madam, Thanks for the query. Please tell me whether you had only high prolactin level or is there any other associated problem? Cabergolin only acts on reducing prolactin levels. It has no action on thyroid gland or its secretions. Thyroxine 4.6 mU/L is a normal level. thanks.

Carbergolin does not affect the thyroid. It's normal.
