So we are starting applying of povidone iodine powder instead of ointment. Can you suggest me is there any difference between ointment and powder? And is it safe for my kid? Application of powder will make the wound dry and there may be scab formations . it will be difficult and painful to clean them eventually. moreover , your son will not allow it. so, it will be better to apply any ointment.
