Presence of microalbumin in the urine is early indication of kidney involvement you can arrest or delay the further progress of nephropathy by controlling your diabetes, which means controlling your fasting,pp blood sugar and HbA1c.This can be achieved by diet control, regular exercise, medicines and insulin(If oral antidiabetics are not able to contoll it). your diabetes is not controlled as it should be,discuss with your doctor who will adjust your medicines or may add some more medicine.

Thank you for your Query. As per the information provided by you - Your Diabetes is not under control despite taking highest possible doses of OADs and also there is microalbuminuria which indicates early Kideny problems. Secondly I would like to know your current blood pressure. To reverse microalbuminuria you need a good control of blood sugar and blood pressure. You need to change the treatment regimen for lowering blood sugar, preferably you will need Insulin at least for 3-6 months. Alternatively you can try adding one Glifozin to lower your blood sugar which also has positive effect on Kideny function. For any further information or advice you can book an online consultation with me on Lybrate. Thank you. Take care till then.
