My 81-year-old sister has been taking lomac for many years. She generally doesn't feel well, depressed, losing weight, no appetite, lethargic, coated tongue. Can't focus. She has been taking lomac for many years. She is feeling very down and depressed. I am hoping your advice can point us in the right direction. Thank you.

Dear Lybrate-User, You can find more information on lomac here url/medicine/lomac-20-mg-capsule and if she (delma machin) is suffering from symptoms of depression you should be able to consult a nearby psychiatrist. If you are able to do so online please book an appointment.

Due to her health condition and old age she might be feeling depressed and sad. You need to take care that she should not be alone. Loneliness in this age is another issue which aggravates the symptoms.

Lomac does not treat her depression, acting on her tummy only. Consult a psychiatrist and get proper medications for her.
