I am thyroid patient age of thirteen. I was taking 112 mcg tablet of thyronorm. My ft4 is 1.04 and tsh is 4.896 now what is my thyronorm dosage. Now I have swelling in my body. Should I take levothyroxine or not and what is my next report date? It is mandatory to take calcium tablet to thyroid patient? What is a thyroid patient diet. Please suggest me.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Based on the information given it appears that you will have to continue the same dosage of Levothyroxine. Ideally TSH should be maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L, at which all the symptoms are in check. The treatment with Levothyroxine is for lifetime. Please clarify what do you mean by "Now I have swelling in my body"? WHere is the swelling? Has the weight increased? Is there any change in the thyroid gland size? Thanks.
