Dear lybrate-user, sleep disturbance may be due to depression itself. With stalopam and tryptomer, if she comes to normal mood, she will sleep better. Alprax will not cause sleep if it is not given in high dose. Stopping it makes your mother worse. She may start demanding you to give more and more of alprax. Instead of that, please increase tryptomer and stalopam to an adequate dose to lift her depression. Consult your doctor every 2-3 weeks. She may have some other causes for her depression at this menopausal age - those can be addressed in future sessions.

It seems like you would like to try a medication without a doctor's prescription. However, you need affirmation from another doctor for the same. It is advisable to consult the prescribing doctor explaining what symptoms are persisting and what you would like with you mother's symptoms that need to be improved. Alternatively you can consult us for a second opinion on Lybrate. Look forward to hearing from you.
