Sir my mother is under medication for copd from the 2003. Since long, she used to take tiomate inhaler 2 puffs twice daily and unicontin e 600 mg tab. Two months backs she was discharged from icu. Now she is been advised to take foracort inhaler and duolin inhaler. With these two inhalers, my mother is not feeling better and still facing difficulty in breathing. On consulting the doctor about earlier use of tiomate inhaler, he advised us to stop duolin and take foracort twice daily and tiomate once daily. Now my query is in order to continue tiomate inhaler, what is supposed to be stopped? Duolin or foracort? Which is the best combination? Foracort+ tiomate or duolin+ tiomate? Please guide me. Thanks in advance.

Hi. Foracort+tiomate would be better choice as per your clinician's advise. If breathlessness not controlled with these medications, we have to reexamine and reinvestigate the patient.
