I am on the following drugs for depression/anxiety and schizophrenia. A) zosert 100 mg 1-0-0. B) trazalon 50 mg 0-0-1. C) cizorest 200 mg 0-0-1. D) sizopin 50 mg 0-0-1. E) pacitane 2 mg 1-0-0. F) clonotril 0.25 mg 1-1-1. Due to severe anxiety and the habit forming nature of clonotril, I am on serenace 0.50 mg 1-1-1 (not self medicated). My questions are a) will it reduce anxiety? B) is it contra-indicated to the above mentioned drugs? Please clarify.

We understand your situation however is not advisable to take medications on your own by self-medication. We are glad if you are not self-medicating, however would like to let you know that clonotril and serenace are not the same group of medications. To answer your questions a. Yes, clonotril will reduce your anxiety and so will serenace, but clonotril is more effective if anxiety is due to worries or other reasons that do not involve psychosis. And b. Using serenace is not contraindicated along with the other medications you mention, however every individual is different and we cannot exactly predict if there will not be any reaction until you use the medicine once yourself and hopefully it will help.
