Hypothyroidism is hormonal imbalance disease. Though now tsh level normal before stopping medication ask consultant doctor for if patient still needs same doses or can be stop. Sudden stop of medicine causes withdrawal like symptoms so do under supervision of doctor.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Hypothyroidism is a hormone (Thyroxine produced by Thyroid gland) deficiency disorder. Since this hormone is required for many vital metabolic functions in the body every day, plus also needed for normal functioning of brain, needs to be supplemented every day for life time. There is no cure. So pease continue giving the tablets.Plus it is essential to maintain TSH around 3 to 4 mU/L to remain free from symptoms of the disease. Thanks.
