Sir i'm suffering from generalized anxiety disorder. Currently i'm taking etizolam, serlift, petril beta 20 toficalm and nervup od. Im m taking this from the last one year now i'm suffering short time memory loss. Is this the side effects of medication.

It can be extremely distressing to cope with memory loss and anxiety, but if you can find ways to treat the anxiety itself by psychotherapy along with medicine, you should find that your memory improves too. It's the hormone released during stress, which is why those with severe anxiety (and excessive stress) are more at risk for developing memory loss problems. Try this, include physical activity in your daily routine. Physical activity increases blood flow to your whole body, including your brain. Stay mentally active. Socialize regularly. Get organized. Sleep well. Eat a healthy diet. Manage chronic conditions. When to seek help for memory loss. Keep a small note pad and pen, writedown important things also teach your brain to remember thing by repeating it eg im keeping my keys on the tv (repeat it three times). Under the supervison of pychetrist/logist try to reduce drugs intake by withdrawl therpy. Practice gratitude this gives self satisfaction and helps combat gad.
