I am 64 diabetic 2 since 2014. I am taking glycomet .5 mg sr forte. Latest readings are 146/176. I was also taking xtant for b p. As my reading was constant i.e.76/134 before discontinuing x tant and after also since last three weeks. Is it right to discontinue b p tablet?

If your BP is normal without medicines then avoid medicine. Your blood sugar specially fasting is high and you need to consult your doctor.

Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. Your fasting glucose is very high. It should be < 100 mg or closer to 100 mg. What is the HbA1c%? That gives a clear idea about whether there is adequate control. Further details about weight, height, extent of daily exercise annd diet pattern are necessary to give an opinion or any suggestion. BP 134/ 76 mm Hg (correct way to mention BP), is good. But stopping the drug will definitely lead to increase. Thanks.
