Should I plan pregnancy while taking daxid and arip medication during pregnancy?

Hi, studies on use of Daxid(sertraline) and Arip (aripiprazole) in pregnancy have not found any increased risk to the baby. However, use of Daxid in pregnancy may cause some problems in the baby during the first few days after birth like increased crying, irritation and increased muscle tone, vomiting, change in sleep pattern, etc.

You can plan pregnancy while taking these two medications however you should also consult your treating psychiatrist regarding your health if it suitable to plan pregnancy. These medications doesn't cause any problem during pregnancy as such. All the best.

Try and stop all tablets before planning pregnancy. Try therapy. It may take about 5-6 months. Then stop tablets. Try to be on only one drug, if therapy is not useful.
