Hello doctor, my thyroid report says t3 hormone is 1.03 ng/ml t4 is 9.10 ug/dl tsh is 3.30 ulu/ml so I just want to know if my reports are normal then should I stop taking medicines which I am taking from last 15 years in beginning I was prescribed to 50 mg thyronorm and slowly it increased to 75 mg now I am taking 75 mg tablet so should I stop taking it along with that I am taking thyrowel capsule is it good? Please guide me.

Since this hormone is required for many vital day to day metabolic functions and for normal functioning of brain, it has to be supplemented from outside, hence levothyroxine is given. It is necessary to maintain tsh level around 3 to 4 mu/l to be free from all the symptoms of hypothyroidism. Your tsh level is normal because of taking prescribed level of levothyroxine. The day that is stopped tsh will start going up and all the symptoms of hypothyroidism will return. Please understand this a condition requiring lifelong treatment. Thanks.
