Hi I have tsh level 12.5 for tha past 2 weeks I am taking thyronorm 75 mg in empty stomach. How much wil tis tab helpful to control thyroid? Can we intercourse and try for pregnancy while taking tis tablet? Pls suggest.

Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details and understand the concern. First and foremost is to bring TSH < 2mU/L with appropriate dosage of Levothyroxine. You can try for pregnancy but it can succeed only TSH levels are around 2 mU/L. I hope you understand. Plus throughout the pregnancy too TSH has to be meintained around 2 mU/L. Try for pregnancy only after your tsh level becomes normal.

For pregnancy the tsh should be less than 2.5.you please increase dose of thyronorm by 100 mcg empty stomach. Tea or milk one hour later. Take iodised salt in salad and fruits.
