When I use to take thyronorm 75 my tsh level is 0.23. So doctor advised to take thyronorm 25 for 15 days and check tsh again. I used for 20 days and when I checked tsh increased to 30. With out any consultancy I used thyronorm 75 for 1 month again and when I checked today tsh decrease to 13 but it didn't come to normal. So my question is which dosage I need to continue. Pls do needful.

Hello, Thanks for the query. It is necessary to maintain TSH around 3 to 4 mU/L, at which level most of the symptoms are in check. Usual range is 0.5 to 5 mU/L. Another aspect is that not to make frequent changes in the Levothyroxine dosage on your own. Changes also should be done with proper consultation and not in large variations. It takes about a minimum of 4 weeks for TSH to really reflect change. So checking it in 15 days is of no use.. Dosage of Levothyroxine is calculated based on body weight, height, TSH & T4 levels. So please come back with those details. You may need much higher dosage mainly because of taking inadequate dosage and changing haphazardly. If you have any questions please do come back. Thanks.
