I am diabetic from last 18 year currently I am taking gluconorm 4 mg forte twice a day and lingliptan 2.5 mg in morning my sugar in fasting around 100 and after 2 hour of meal 121-118 sometime 130 so I just wanna ask can I take tingliptan instead of lingliptan thanx.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Your glucose levels seem very good, which means diabetes is well controlled. As regards changing from Linagliptin to Tenelegliptin you can definitely do it. But once change is made, please check glucose levels (fasting & PP) after a week. If levels remain well controlled, you may continue using the same. Thanks.

Yes you can change, because both are from same group and there mechanism of action is same. I think you want to change because of cost factor. Please discuss with your treating physician.
