My father having problem in chest. After ultrasound found water in his lungs. Than his water from lungs come out from backbone. After his fluid checkup found result "mtb not deducted' what it means. My 5 months small son also living with him. Is their any concern for effecting to him also. Please advice sir.

It means that bacteria that cause tb (mycobacterium tuberculosis) were not detected in his chest fluid. In other words, he does not have tb however, any chest infection potentially affects children more easily and in a worse manner. It might be good to keep grandparent and child separate for some time. Having said that, 1. Children less than 5 years are at increased risk 2. After antibiotics are given once, spread of infection decreases.
