I am 27. And I was diagnosed with bp. I am with med bisolol 2.5 mg and camlo2. 5 mg. I discontinued escitalopram. Now my bp ranges normal 125/80. Can I stop these med? If not, how long should I take?

Bp medicines maintain your bp at that level by daily dosage. Once you stop the medicines, the bp will raise. Hence, you should not stop the medicines without proper observation over a period of time.

stop gradually. measure BP every month even after medicine is stopped. first reduction could be 'c a m l o ?' on alternate days for 2 months. No change of bislol at present. Do not reduce medicines further if BP again becomes high.

Bp at that age needs to be evaluated for secondary causes of hypertension before labelling you a hypertensive. Get a ABPM done for accurate diagnosis Tc
