My wife is suffering from anxiety and depression for last two months on account of kidney stone and gastrointestinal issues. She is not able to sleep, feels tired, fatigue, loss of appetite and interest to do anything. As advised by doctor treating gastrointestinal issues she consulted psychologist who has prescribed paroxi cr 12.5 mg and clonazepam 0.5 mg tablets before bedtime. She took these medicines yesterday night for the first time. Next day i.e. Today she is having restless, sleepiness without sleep and dullness. Please advise how to get rid of these side effects. We understand that you are consulting for your wife. It seems like it has been only one day since the start of the medications. I believe that you should have your wife take the medications a little early and in the morning have her drink a lot of water and some coffee before starting the day. The medication do work, however the side effects what come up initially might take some time - as in 4-5 days - to settle in. Kindly be patient. If you need help, you can contact us further.
