I am taking 30 mg sotret (isotretinoin) capsules since the past 21 days for cystic acne. Today I went to my doctor and he increased my dose to 40 mg/day and he also prescribed me a multivitamin syrup (actilife) 5 ml twice a day. But I forgot to ask him if it is safe for me to take multivitamins as I have read that no other form of vitamin-a should be taken while on isotretinoin. Please help.

Actilife has very little vitamin A. It is mainly B vitamins so don't worry, you can take it. But no need to take 5ml twice, take it only once and have a good balanced diet.
