I am 31 years old male. I feel lack of sexual desire and sometimes problem with erection. I also feel less energetic, mood change irritation, lack of focus etc lately. I got my testosterone level checked and it came out to be 270 ng/dl. My questions are:- 1. Is this testosterone level really low for the person of my age? I have heard that at this age it should be at least 600 plus. 2. Can the low testosterone level be the reason behind lack of desire, erection and other issues I am facing? 3. I use tadalafil while having intercourse but still sometime face erection issue. My wife got pregnant 2 times in last two years but both the pregnancies ended up in miscarriage? I want to know whether using tadalafil or low testosterone could be in any way a reason for miscarriage? 4. Is it true that I could notice sureshot increment in my libido if my testosterone level increases drastically? Means is it guaranteed that my sexual life will surely improve if my testosterone levels are on the higher side. Eg. 700 ng/dl. I desperately need it. 5. I have already started working out again (i used to be a powerlifter earlier, improve my diet and lifestyle. What are the other suggested treatment for low testosterone? I would appreciate if I could get the pointwise answers specific to my queries. Thank you.

Your testosterone level seems to be on borderline, you need hormonal evaluation just a single testosterone level cannot be conclusive you need to visit either a urologist or an endocrinologist in your area and get evaluated. You will be clinically evaluated and prescribed some tests including serum fsh, lh, serum prolactin and accordingly be treated regarding your infertility issue, both you and your wife need to be evaluated individually your wife will need to visit a gynaecologist who deals with infertility, while you need to get a semen analysis done to check for low sperm count/ abnormal sperms. Treatment for low testosterone levels should be initiated only after proper evaluation by an experienced clinician preferably a urologist.
