Dear Lybrate user, -to keep your blood sugar stable improve your dietary habits & do regular exercise - include a protein rich food in each of your meals like eggs, lean meats, milk and milk products like yogurt, cheese, buttermilk, cottage cheese, tofu, beans, lentils, pulses, sprouts, peas and nuts such as almonds, walnuts, pista, cashews and peanuts - chew your food well, do not skip meals, have meals on time, have 4-5 small meals including snacks rather than three large meals for proper digestion, have a snack when hungry do that your blood sugar remains stable - do regular exercise like walking, jogging, swimming, cycling & moderate weight lifting for 10-15 min 2-3 times a week for better blood sugar control - monitor blood sugar after meals & exercise - for proper sleep avoid watching a gadget screen like tv computer or mobile 1-2 hrs before bedtime, instead read or listen to light music, do not nap for more than 20-30 min in the day if you do so, avoid tea, coffee in the evening, also alcohol & smoking if you do, be active throughout the day, have a warm water bath before bedtime & a glass of warm milk before bedtime which can help induce restful sleep, restrict water intake in the evening b& before bedtime so that you do not have to get frequently to go to washroom, keep room silent & at an ambient temperature.
