Hello, thanks for the query. When one is on adequate dosage of levothyroxine, tsh is maintained around 3 to 4 mu/l, a which level most of the symptoms of hypothyroidism are in check. Since your current tsh level is 5.56 mu/l, there is a possible need to increase the dosage by 12.5 mcg that is 75 mcg to 87.5 mcg and then check tsh after 6 weeks, to see if desiared level is achieved. Thanks.
