I am 55 year old, l m diabetic and last test report was as blood sugar fasting 96, and ad is 201. Hbac is 6.9 prcnt. Bp is 140. L have a uterus prolapse problem which is need to operated, so suggest me operation in sugar and bp condition is risk or risk free, my age is 56. Please suggest me that operation can heal easily in sugar? And I am taking for sugar and bp galvus met, telma,ecosprin.

lybrate-user ji, thanks for the query. Whenever any operative procedure is to be done it is necessary to achieve a strict blood glucose control as well bp control. Blood glucose should be fasting < 100 mg, pp 150 to 170 mg & hba1c% <6.5%. Similarly bp also should be around 120 to 130/ 70 to 80 mm hg. So please see that you are able to maintain glucose levels and bp in that manner. Then surgeon will undertake the surgery. Thanks.
