Dear sir, I am 35 year old male, my current hb1ac is 10.3, 4 years back I had suffered from acute pancreatitis, since then I am suffering from diabetes, right now I am taking 1 tab of kombiglyze in morning and 1 tab of voglistar gm2, kindly suggest me insulin, which can be available in generic medicine.

Mr Ajay, Thanks for the query. With a HbA1c%10.3 % insulin is definitely indicated. Ideally you should start on a long acting analogue like Glargine (Basalog) delivered in a pen. I am not sure whether there is any generic variety of this insulin. Where as you may get a combination like 30/70 Insulin in either vials or may be in pen form. That is more economical compared to glargine. Choice is yours. Thanks.
