Bone spicule is not big in size. If the growth is hard and painless then it can b a tori and the treatment option is excision of the growth. Since you r responding to the treatment you r taking so no need to think for the alternative tt. Yes massaging will help but not with pepsodent instead use tan x gum paint on the affected area and leave it for few mins after massaging.

Dear sir, you need to check the consistency of the small growth. If it is soft, then it may be boil. If its hard, then it may be bone spine. If the current treatment is benefiting you, please continue the same. Or otherwise, as madam has answered, removal of same by a small surgical procedure is very helpful.

If it's a bony hard swelling painless and not growing in size. Then no need to worry. In dental terminology it's also known as mandibular torus.
