I am 65 years old. I am suffering from acute back and knee pain. Mri report of lumber and dorsal spine found acute/chronic lumber spondylosis l4 and l5 region, canal stenosis and knee x-ray found osteo arthritis. Dr. Advised for operation of l4 and l5 region. Please advise me, if there is any other option/treatment other than operation.

Canal stenosis is a mechanical problem and needs a mechanical treatment .that's surgical decompression. Knee should respond to loosing body weight, medication, physiotherapy and exercises unless it's too much degenerated. Take care.

If no power loss in foot or leg then u can take physio n back strengthening to acoid surgery or to delay it
