I had undergone angioplasty on 30th july 2019. I am taking rosuvas 20 regularly. My total cholesterol level is 106 (hdl - 37). I get chest pain and feel giddiness. My ecg is normal. Bp though lower side is within limits. I understand that consistent use of statins can cause muscular spasms. My cholesterol is also low. Will it be ok if I stop taking rosuvas 20 for 4-5 days to get relief. I also take axcer 90 & ecosprin 75. Please advice.

rosuvas can cause muscle pains specially legs and back, but unlikely to cause spasms unless you do strenuous exercise. Stopping statins for 1-2 weeks is not dangerous.

Do not stop statins!(cholesterol lowering medicine) what you think is low is not low! newer guidelines suggest lower the better- as low as 20 -40 mg/dl ldl is best. Kindly do not stop any medications without consulting a cardiologist. If you get muscle cramps and tiredness dose and medication can be adjusted but do not stop! tc.
