I did my whole body checkup and my blood sugar fasting was 105. Am I diabetic? I was taking 25 mcg thyronorm for my hypothyroidism which was 9. Something but I stopped taking my medication for 2 3 weeks and now it's 17.9 also my pct is 0.433 what does it mean. I'm very scared what should I do. Am I diabetic now? Thyroid is okay but I don't want to become diabetic. Please tell me can I reverse it? I don't do any exercise. My weight is 40 maybe. I never eat much sugar then why am I not getting proper results. I'm on anti-anxiety medication.

Hello, Thanks for the query. To diagnose diabetes following glucose levels are considered : Fasting 126 mg and above, PP 200 mg and above & HbA1c% 6.5% and above. Therefore 105 mg is not diabetic at all. As regards TSH level of 17.9 mU/L, it is definitely very high and there is a need to take Levothyroxine regularly. With treatment TSH should be maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L for being free from the symptoms. To prevent diabetes one needs to take a balanced diet and also do regular exercise and prevent weight increase. In your case, weight seems to be much less. Still regular exercise is essential. Thanks.
