I'm a hypothyroid patient. I am taking thyronorm 100 mg since last 7 years. Right now my weight is 52 kg and my height is 5" 6" my tsh level is 4.05 and t4 2.11 and t3 2.89. After taking thyroid pill in the morning on empty stomach about an hour in my breakfast I eat soaked almond, apple and egg white in a small quantity but I feel that my face getting dry. Is this any reaction of thyroid medicine or I am suffering from any digestive problem.

Hello, thanks for the query. Tsh level of 4.05 mu/l shows the current dosage of levothyroxine is quite adequate and hypothyroidism is well controlled. The drug levothyroxine hardly produces any side effects. Dryness of skin is a common coplaint in hypothyroidism. You may use some emollient (moisturising) creams including aloevera cream. Thanks.

Dryness of skin is not due yo thyroid medicine.It may be due to winter season.Can use some moisturizer cream.Get your TSH after 6 weaks as your TSH is towards higher side.
