Hi, ive got my anus fibula tip avulsion fracture. Single fracture on tip. Its not uniting almost 7 plus weeks niw. Took last extra at 6 weeks from injury. Ive wearing ankle splint and also having d3 plus calcimax forte calcium supplement. Doc has advised to wear spoing for up to 13 weeks from injury. I dong have no pain and have been walking wearing splint from beginning. Last time doc says no callous formation. Hd sats will wait for 4 tob5 weeks more and if there is no need to do anything. Pl advise.

If your Lateral malleolus Avulsion is not uniting, it is under constant stress by the pull of Calcaneofibular and Talofibbular ligament complex during walking and standing. if needed, it should be Fixed with suture anchors otherwise this injury can cause chronic Ankle instability followed by arthritis.
