Mr Paul, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. From your query I am not able to know from which place you are. Because in India nurses are not authorised to prescribe and treat any patients. Here very few diabetic patients tend to buy a glucometer. In patients with T2 diabetes and on oral drugs to control glucose very frequent glucose check may not be necessary. However, some patients with very high glucose levels or uncontrolled diabetes need to have a glucometer for self monitoring at home. If you feel like having one can go ahead and get one. Thanks.
