I am a diabetic type 2 lady of 58 years. For couple of weeks (2-3), I have observed that my blood sugar is inn the range of 72 to 96 (fasting) and 145 to 160 (pp). As suggested by my doctor, I am taking 1 tablet daily of glycomet gp 1 mg, which I have stopped for last 10 days. Am I correct or what should be the ideal course of action. Thanks.

Hello, Thanks for the query. The glucose levels mentioned are very good, fasting level is absolutely normal. PP levels are also fairly low. Please check HbA1c% also, that will will give a clear idea. Since you have stopped the medication, may observe the glucose levels for a few more days. If levels go up, then treatment needs to be continued. Thanks.

Mr. lybrate-user I would not recommend you stop the medication as blood sugars were under control and I could notice her ppg is less intake of carbohydrates will help her to achieve the target.
